Yoga offers profound health benefits by actively engaging the lymphatic system, a crucial component of our immune defense. Unlike the circulatory system, where the heart pumps blood, the lymphatic system lacks a central pump. So what pumps the lymphatic fluids? The answer is stretching, rotating, flexing when we are exercising and especially during yoga practice. You could visualise the lymph carrying essential immune cells such as B-lymphocytes, T-lymphocytes and natural killer cells, as different branches of the Navy, protecting the body's islands and coastline. Through yoga's diverse range of stretches (asanas) practitioners effectively facilitate the movement of lymph preventing it from becoming stagnant and thick, like cottage cheese. When stagnation occurs due to lack of movement, the lymph becomes sluggish, leading to heaviness, fatigue, and brain fog, making the body more susceptible to illness and infection.
Deep breathing techniques (pranayama) also serve as a powerful pump (enhanced movement of the diaphragm) for the lymphatic system, ensuring the smooth flow of immune cells throughout the body. This helps promote oxygenation at a cellular level. The lymphatic system's efficiency is crucial as it helps remove waste, toxins, and pathogens from the body, ensuring a clean and balanced internal environment. (human microbiome)
Additionally, yoga's meditative aspects and relaxation techniques alleviate stress, promoting the release of endorphins and optimizing immune responses. Yoga practice extends beyond the physical realm, delving into the cleansing of the chakras, the subtle energy centres and throughout the body's meridians, the powerlines of the body: serving as the ultimate cleanser, purging energetic 'muck' negative energy that can accumulate over time. (5G radiation, HAARP, EMF) As the chakras and the meridians become unobstructed, practitioners often experience heightened states of awareness and mental clarity. Yoga coupled with regular acupuncture sessions can majorly enhance ones spiritual journey and help us reach new levels of consciousness and degrees of enlightenment.

Two Yoga Poses
I recommend to my clients
Cow head pose
The cow head pose benefits the heart by activating deep, rhythmic breathing, increasing oxygen flow, and improving circulation, aiding in stretching the heart muscle and strengthening the coronary arteries. It opens the chest, enhancing energy (Qi) flow along the heart meridian, promoting cardiovascular health, emotional well-being, and reducing stress. This pose also helps lower blood pressure and heart rate.
Supta Parivrtta Garudasana
Twisted roots
This restorative pose positively affects the liver, gallbladder, and spleen by gently massaging these organs through the twist, which stimulates their function and aids in detoxification. The twisting motion helps to wring out toxins, promoting better digestion and enhanced bile flow from the gallbladder. Additionally, this pose boosts lymphatic circulation, aiding in the removal of waste products from the body and supporting overall immune health.
