BIELER'S BROTH
If you Google 'Bieler's Broth' you may come across articles about classic movie stars who swear by this recipe for detox! Gloria Swanson aka 'the Green Goddess' Anthony Quinn and Lucille Ball were all big fans. Dr. Bieler wrote a book titled 'Food is your Best Medicine' (a quote from Hippocrates) where he goes into detail about the myriad wonders of his broth. You can make a big pan-full and put the additional supply in the fridge/freezer. During the cleansing phase try to eat it as a meal in itself each and every day, or as a starter, or fast on it once a week on a quiet, restful day. (*note. no fasting during pregnancy) Bieler's Broth is a godsend and is something you can make whenever your digestive system needs a reset or when you want to push your PH back in balance; from acidity to alkalinity.

Tips:  one of the links below refers to adding a little butter. Grass-fed butter is best, or organic olive oil or coconut oil. If the broth turns out too thick just add some water from what's left in the steamer/pan. Some prefer not to purée the broth but to leave it with more fibre, less like baby food. Having said that, babies love it puréed!

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR W/ THE MOTHER
You can get Devon Apple Cider Vinegar, which contains the essential 'Mother' bacteria, from www.unlimitedhealth.nl/ or Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar from  www.thesoulsister.nl/  in Amsterdam. Personally, I much prefer the Devon as it's more palatable. It's important that it contains the 'Mother' Many health food stores stock regular ACV which is quite healthy but not the real deal. Companies who are aware of the 'Mother' enzyme always put this clearly on the label.

Recommended dosage: 2 tablespoonful’s mixed with 1/4 cup of water 1-2 times daily.

Apple cider vinegar with the 'Mother' is loaded with vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, A, E, B1, B2 and B6 and vitamin P (helps the body properly absorb vitamin C and good for red blood cells).
